Thoughts on the Afterlife, and the nature of beliefs, by RB
The Afterlife.
Three statements to begin this article….
There is no hell.
There is no Purgatory.
Suicides do not go to hell.
I speak from personal experience, which is the only true way for any mystic to approach the greater reality.
If person have differing beliefs concerning these things, I ask directly: ‘on what personal experience are these beliefs based???’.
And following this question, it is necessary to begin the task of examining your beliefs based on the measure of personal experience you hold.
Click on the basket icon for more information on the nature of beliefs. This will provide you with a better framework, of where I am coming from.
Hell is a religious concept, a place of punishment for not following dogma and church laws and instructions for living life, etc. EG, suicides go to hell.
In reality, we create our own hells, here in the physical and in the afterlife.
While there are many ways the afterlife can unfold, the series of afterlife environments most face are created by the contents of persons experience. this includes beliefs in concepts like hell and etc.
Suicides fare no differently than anyone else in the afterlife, and the same variables are involved.
I have significant experience with suicides in the afterlife realms.
Suicides are obviously traumatized, suffering individuals in a lot of pain. This pain goes with them into the afterlife and has a big effect upon the environment.
A suffering person may create the conditions and experiences that caused the suffering. This may involve reliving painful events over and over, until these are processed and realized as being the life lessons or illusions they represent.
Once a level of suffering is processed, persons move on. They may move to another level of suffering, processing other issues and pains. This continues until persons are purged of their pain and illusions. Then they move on into Rest and Recovery areas, where they may sleep for decades and recover strength.
From here, persons move into heavenly areas, and these often appear just like real life, a small town or village or etc, where they are in great comfort and surrounded by loved ones.
Most popular beliefs in the afterlife contain elements of the above, if only fragments.
As said, there are many variables in how afterlife transpires.
I cut the below from a recent email I wrote on this, which adds some more details….
The immediate after life varies depending on circumstances. In the case of sudden death, say from a car accident, the real time projected astral double is produced in a very strong form. This form allows the deceased to visit in real time for a few weeks. Then this form falls asleep and dreams. In this dreaming, deceased persons process their lives. This takes as long as it takes, depending on how much unresolved baggage has been accumulated.
After the processing, persons shift into realms of illusion. These could aptly be called heavenly realms. They are belief system based. So they can involve religious scenarios and figures.
Built into all the illusory realms are random anomalies. These are also found in all OBE and dream states, starting with the well known ‘melting hands’ phenomenon, missing furniture, etc, that I have called ‘reality fluctuations’.
In the after life, these anomalies constantly draw ones attention to the fact that one is in an illusion. Once this is grasped and the scenario gets ‘old’, one moves on to the next illusory realm, and the next, progressively purifying ones beliefs until there is nothing of illusion left.
Eventually, one gets to the point where all illusion falls away. I don’t have personal experience with what comes next, but think that it is here where one merges with ones higher self, possibly reincarnates, etc.
The real time double that I mentioned falls asleep and dreams will shift into a lower dimensional area just below the physical. This could aptly be described as Purgatory. There, you will find millions of sleeping or sleep walking persons, in something like real time double form.
Some just sleep, while some relive troubling events over and over. Some of these can become ghosts, if they are strongly attached to certain places and persons in the real world.
In closing, all of the above is a part of a beautiful natural process. The afterlife can take as long as it takes, be it months or many centuries. The end result is assured. Persons will move on eventually, when they are ready to let go of the last vestiges of illusion.

Does it mean that a person who committed suicide because she/he was raped will be reliving the rape over and over? Are there variations of the process when not all events are relived but just witnessed e.g. as if shown to one on a screen at a movie theatre? Does the processing of traumatic events always necessarily takes place or it varies from person to person and can be dropped?

Hi Robert
You state that there is no Hell. It’s an illusion. But for the people who create a hell for themselves, it’s just as real as any other illusion that you I or anyone else creates for ourselves. It’s not enough to tell someone it’s just an illusion when they are up to the neck in the S*** and see no way out of their own creation.
My Story
I was walked up the stairs one night to go to bed with guidance telling me very strongly that I had to do a journey. I get into bed. As far as I was concerned my wife was lying sleeping beside me when I entered into a deep state (very quickly).
I found myself in a place, hovering about celing height in a brown-grey mist with forlorn faces staring up at me. I felt S*** scared. My immediate reaction was Liam get the F*** out of here. Guidance told me to stay where I was. It’s only fear. Deal with the fear. Eventually the fear melted and I decided to go and explore the place. No go. I was told to go back. So me being the obediant wee chap that I am I got up out of bed, went to the bathroom and then got back to bed again.
At that point my wife said “You’re not doing that again, are you?. I said no and went to sleep. (end of conversation)
The next morning I asked her why she had asked me such a question when I came back from the bathroom the night before. She said ” I knew you were at something. I asked why and she said that the energy from me was so strong that she felt that there was someone else in the bed between us and that she was being pushed out of the bed. (She’s good at picking up the energies). Anyway I told her about the place that I’d visited and that on the way back I was told that I’d be back some day to help these people. About 14 months later while in the Blue Ridge Mountains at the Monroe Institute I was taken back to the same place. I think I was doing guidelines at the time.
I was guided to the front door of this place. I pushed through and there was another door, (similar) I pushed through that and there was a man standing on my right at a long table with an open ledger. I walked past him and coming towards me was the epitomy of a devil with horns. Over his left shoulder was another character with eyes like cats in the dark, reflecting light. I knew where I was and guidance told me once again that I had nothing to fear and that they were more afraid of me than I was of them. They parted and I walked down a path between them into this open area. Fear was gone. I then became aware that I had no body form and that I was nothing more than a ball of white light. I became conscious of the people that were there there in body form and I was told (by guidance) to tell these people that God loved them they weren’t stuck and that if they followed me then I would take them out. To them I was the light.
I did what was suggested and after what seemed about 15 minutes down a path with bursting rocks and lava flows (hell’s fire) we came to a gorge. There was half a bridge. I asked for a full bridge. This obligenly appeared and across we went into a star lit night. I knew we were out because I’d been there before. I then said something like
” I’ll take them on to 27 but was told that I’d done my bit and that they would be taken care of from there. I was to go back. I did.
I’ll tell you the rest later.
The point is that this place was as real to the people who were stuck there as any other place or creation that you or I find ourselves in. Regardless of where we are in any type of so called reality we are going to have beliefs and the beliefs help us create the reality. Hell is no less real than where you or I or anyone else is at this moment in our time (whatever time is). Interestingly I was told that these people where stuck there for somewhere in the region of a couple of thousand years.(our time)
So I am making a case for hell which is as real as any other reality. I conclude that while we are conscious we are conscious of our creation (which is our reality) so although there may be no God condeming us to a Hell, some people (in their ignorance) are capable of creating a HELL for themselves which is every bit as real as any other creation. The problem is that they don’t know that they’ve done it. They have to work their way out of the hell which they’ve created. This then becomes part of their learning experience which is no less valid (or real, or illusionary)than your’s or mine or any other poor soul who is reading my wee story about my wee experience which in turn is every bit as real (or unreal) as anyone elses wee reality or illusion or creation or whatever name it goes by. (I need time to take a breath)
Haven’t religions a lot to answer for. ( look no furter than the hell that some clergy created for a lot of kids in Ireland in this past few decades). Anyway, that’s enough to think about.
Hang in there. (wherever there is)

Hi Robert
Wow, that is a truly profound posting!
It is amazing how there are so many misconceptions surrounding the idea of death. Even though I have not had the experience of conscious “other-dimension” travel YET (beside a few Lucid Dreams), my outlook has greatly changed just given the possibility of it all. I certainly look at death differently!
I am grateful that people such as yourself are around to help expand the awareness of many and bring some truth to it all.
My intention: “I easily slip ot of my body and consciously experience other realms of existence,” says the South African with a deep low rumbling voice.
Cheers Mate
Thanks for the insight!

What would be more helpful…. to tell people who have hell like experiences that this is eternal damnation and there is no hope,…or that this is an illusion that can be overcome. I think the latter is more realistic and helpful.

Sorry to be pedantic, but please don’t call hell a Judeochristian idea. There is no such thing as hell in Jewish tradition just as there is no Satan/Devil. Judaism has a mystical path, kabbalah, which is based on the ‘tree of life’ on which there are positive and negative spheres (sepiroth) however, this is quite different from heaven/hell/devil etc.

Robert do you realize the similarites between this and the bardo teachings of Tibetan Buddhism?
Its very similar including the brief period of wandering in the real time zone and then falling into a dream.
While I am on this topic, please read numeral three on this following webpage:

I think you will be familiar with this:)

Hi Robert! What happens to those who are spiritually evolved after physical death? People with experience in OBE, meditation etc. Those who seek truth. Do we become free to explore? A swami once told me that we can leave our body in seven ways(probably related to the major chakras) and if you leave your body true the crown chakra you will be enlightened? If you are a evolved spiritual being can you choose whether you wan to be reincarnated on this planet or not? What happens with all the memories from previous lifetimes when physical death occurs? Is meditation, living in the present moment, ability to let go enough preparation to deal with this?
Thank you for bringing truth and insight to this world, im ever greatfull!!!
Best wishes and best regards
Aleksander

G’day,
I have seen the similarities, yes. However, my words are based on personal experience. This is wonderful, like ancient art and descriptions of chakras. The old validates the new, and the new validates the old. The human energy body is what it is. And so is the afterlife. Its the biases that get in the way, beliefs that are not founded on personal experience….as all masters have said and written.
I do not fully understand the teachings you point to, but from what I can gather they are very close to my personal experience and thinking.
Thank you for sharing.
Feel free to email me a post for consideration on this subject, a comparison.

Hi Robert,
I am reading your book “Astral Dynamics”, for the first time. I have a simple question out of curiosity, as I found a reference to your projections in intergalactic space:
Have you visited an extra-terrestrial planet with intelligent life-forms within our Galaxy or the physical universe, probably the closest one to the earth, or if you have met their real-time projections?
It would be great if you could describe your experience(s) about their life/technology even as, with our current space technology, it seems only remotely probable that we meet such beings in our physical body in our lifetimes, unless those on the other side are advanced enough to meet us before we do.

Robert,
If you have the time, do you think you can write a post on all the things you can do with the third eye strobe vision screen.
I am nowhere near this level of devlopment, but it is fun to think about. I am still trying to master OBE to the point I can do it whenever I want to.
I am also weary of having clairvoyant abilites taken over by negs, not that I have neg issues.
The reason why I bring it up here, is that couldn’t you visit dead relatives using the vision screen?
Similarly, have you ever tried to trace past lives using the third eye strobe vision screen, e.g. ask “show me my previous life” OR “show me the previous life of my mother”
Also can you visit anywhere on earth using the vision screen? This may be easier than trying to go out of orbit and reenter the atmosphere.
Can you heal people using the vision screen?

This is what I don’t understand.
It may take many manual reincarnations to purify the personality of abherent traits. Becoming more “godlike” as you say.
But in another sense, is not everything pure from the beginning for everyone? Even right “NOW”?
Even evil thoughts and emotions, if held in lucid space and awareness, lack essence. In another words all phenomenon lack inherent essence, including thoughts and emotions. (Thoughts and emotions lack duality, therefore all thoughts and emotions are “good”).
Therefore simply let all emotions and thoughts self-liberate into the present moment.
Thoughts and emotions are merely energy currents in the body. The mind will chatter away, that is its nature. Your nature is the pristine awareness of non-duality without avoidance or analysis.

G’day,
One has to look at the big picture to begin understanding a little of the ineffable.
The universe is perfect as it is, because this is what is.
As humans evolve and become more godlike, Source evolves and becomes more human. The unmanifest becomes manifest and by so doing evolution occurs.
Evolution is inherent to everything…everything evolves.
The mistake I think everyone makes trying to conceive this picture is that it is widely assumed that Source/God is fixed in its perfection, and that we living beings are trying to grow and evolve to the point where we can join with this fixed perfection.
But I do not think this is the truth. Everything is evolving, including Source/God. If this were not true, then there would be no point to live beyond the living of mortal existence.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your reply about ET.
The most important thing that in the art&science of OBE is reassurance. I am sure to learn and master it one day.

Robert,
So it comes back to doing it yourself, and making your own spiritual reality. What prevents someone from becoming a black mage then?

Robert-
I am an experienced out of body adventurer (have completed all the Monroe programs) and retriever. I also work in an Emergency Room and witness first hand traumatic transitions and disembodied energies. I find it almost precisely like you over there. No hell, no angst, no condemnation at all, even for suicides. I have often characterized Monroe’s Focus 27 (The Park and Reception Center) as an advanced belief system territory meant to populate Earth’s Time-Space Illusion with the human subjective experience. I am more interested in other alternatives to this merry-go-round of playing house and thinking this expereince is actually real. Life IS but a dream, and while we are in it, we are not of it.
Thanks so much for the work you do, and for your post and that wonderful book “Mastering Astral Projection.”

What about that master described in Astral Dynamics under the “Priest and the Curse”?
He was obviously Christian, even Catholic, because of the priestly garb and crucifixs.
I wonder how he attained his Master status even with his “false” belief systems?

hi Robert, are the gods in mythologies such as the norse gods for examples beings that live in the astral plane/higher dimensions?Could it be that at the time someone was having OBEs and came across these beings and was probably amazed by their nature and decided to make a religion based on these beings?

You can believe what you like, and accept what you are comfortable with. The afterlife is what it is and it does not try to be politically correct, or to give easy answers or escapes. It just is what it is. from what I have seen, it works.
I wish there was some truth I could tell you and others that would make it easy, and that when we pass, or suicide, everything is a bed of roses. But the reality of what I have seen is very real, and seems very practical for a timeless resolution energy.
If you were a rape victim and you killed yourself because you could not bear the memory, and you had to relive it over and over….eventually it would become old and you would let it go and move on. How long this takes depends entirely on your capacity to grow.

G’day,
Those who pass over with more spiritual/life development gain more choices.
When one transcends the need for incarnation, one can choose to incarnate with knowledge. This means you are born with the memories of the past life. In time, doing this, one accumulates experience and becomes more godlike than human, a true adept.
One can also choose to begin the path of the masters….a whole new evolutionary scale.
Beyond this is….like a father raises his child to become a man, and a father, so shall it be.
Take care, Robert

ET types are seen at times in Earth real time space. You will occasionally see them during real time OBE.
I’ve had some interactions with ET types and advanced physical beings over the years, but generally mind my business.
I’ve visited some other planets, but can’t say where they are, or even in what dimension.
I have not so far encountered ETs that want to chat.
Respecting privacy of others during real time obe, including ETs, is wisdom.

The vision screen can be used for ‘anything’.
The only limits on usage are your beliefs.
If your beliefs are based on personal experience, then the vision screen uses are limitless.
And yes, it can be used for healing

G’day,
Thanks for your comments.
I find all human beliefs are created to make humans feel better about death and dying. They have nothing to do with the truth. This causes spirits no end of problems when faced with the truth. I visited with a recently deceased friend last night, a religious man, and he was very confused. It was not what he thought death would be like. I am trying to reach him, but its difficult to get past the obsession thing.
